In
the mountains of north of Thailand baskets are
crafted by the men folk, whereby women focus
on fabric and embroidery. Baskets are made by
hand from rattan or bamboo. The illustrated
samples of baskets come in a variety of sizes
and finishing's, also antique ones.
Our
"sticky-rice" jars are hand painted wood, bamboo,
and paper mache. Sticky rice is the staple food
of Northern Thailand. Farmers fill a jar like
this in the morning before going to the fields.
These versions have eye-pleasing Lanna (Northern
Thai) inscription, writing, flowers elephants
etc. and come in assorted colors. |
