A small family of artisans in Northern Thailand makes each bag, typically taking one person about seven days to complete the work, using some of Thailand's highest quality bamboo, cotton and fabric. The artisans clean, cut, and weave each bamboo strip into a beautiful pattern. Add to that a beautiful 2-inch silk lining across the top and you now have a casual, but very classy handbag. Other design elements include a zippered top, an inside pocket, and sturdy bamboo handles.
